Why can't I stop watching this show? I hate these people so much, but I don't think I'm *exactly* hate-watching it...it's captivating in a way that I just can't wrap my head around. It's not really all that exciting, it's not really all that interesting, it's not really all that funny, but like a dufus, I keep turning up on Friday/Saturday to feel kind of icky and bad about things for an hour. Cringe? Do I like cringe? I don't think I actively go out of my way to get more cringe into my life, but here we are 9 episodes in.

Emma Stone is great though. And that moment about ⅔ of the way through the episode where you get to actually see the HGTV show they're making, that kind of took my breath away. Going from this creepy/stalking/documentary cinema aesthetic to the full on IN-YOUR-FACE 4K-ness of it all had such a big impact.

This episode was really revelatory. Just all-cards-on-the-table fun. Well, not fun, but sort of cathartic after the rest of the season so far? Hard to describe. The pottery segment was really wild, really well put together for what it needed to accomplish, both in-universe and in the context of The Curse. Can't wait to see where they go from here.

Thanks for posting! I am loving this series. It feels like something carefully constructed, but it doesn’t follow any familiar plot trajectory. There are callbacks that tie the show together, like the casino thing, but then the resolution gets subverted by something like Asher getting a free pass and then revealing himself as the snitch. Like, everything just keeps unspooling, like life often does.
