Easy-going and fun.

I watched Season 1 and it's good low-stakes light entertainment. Not uproariously funny but amusing and has a bit of heart to it.

I really enjoyed all the available seasons - Fisk is firmly herself and her ongoing battles with her stepdad and the cafes are perfect. I would love to somehow see a crossover with Rake, but I cannot imagine it quite!

Rake is set in Sydney though. That's the life she's rejected (or vice versa!) to come back to Melbourne.

This was sort of a surreal watch for me, because it was the closest thing to having part of my life observed and turned into a sitcom.

Many years ago, I was a socially-awkward estate planning associate at a tiny law firm. My boss ran the business, and his brother (also an attorney) was also there. The brother didn't get suspended, but he was disciplined by the bar association.

The shabby decor of the Gruber office felt spot-on, and the clients were maybe 30% wackier in the show than in real life.

I thought it was a good (mostly) low-stakes comedy, and I think I'd feel that way even if I didn't find Helen tremendously relatable.

Yay, an Aussie show. I have enjoyed both seasons so far and hope there's a third.

Quite dry humour with great characters.

This is my platonic ideal of slightly cringe /awkward comedy. Love this show.

Sometimes the YouTube algorithm does something right-- it has been serving me clips from this show for several months, so much so that I knew I wanted to watch it if it ever became available to stream here in the USA. With this Fanfare announcement, I told my wife we need to resubscribe to Netflix.

I really liked the first episode, and have been anxiously waiting for her to return from a trip so we could watch the rest. The number of times we have said or texted to each other "she knows it was painted with a cock" in the last few days is embarrassingly large.

I'm glad to see this here, I've been nibbling at this for a month or so and I like it a lot as the right thing at the right time.

The first episode was damn near perfect, and the rest are all good. The lead lady reminds me a lot of Jennifer Saunders in her delivery sometimes.

I really enjoyed this. We binge watched both seasons over a few days.

I’m dealing with a relative’s estate right now and living through that weird ping-pong between grieving for the person, but also feeling irritated about all the tedious, sometimes frustrating paperwork, and then feeling guilty about feeling irritated. So I had a good laugh at her boss’s line: “When someone dies, it’s very sad. Then it’s really, really boring.” I say it to myself every time I have to do some frustrating estate-related thing.

I just found this and have to say it's been my nightly watch for the past 2 weeks. I'm not huge on cringe humor, but this balanced the cringe with the wacky in a nice way. Hope there's more.
