Murderous millennial preachers and prophets take over the German city of Munster after Martin Luther unleashes a Pandora's Box of religious anarchy with the Protestant Reformation.
This episode covers the Munster Rebellion and the Anabaptist Commune. The cages for apocalyptic leaders Bernhard Krechting, Bernhard Knipperdolling, and Jan van Leiden are still on the famous cathedral.

All the torturing people to death makes him think of the Waco siege, rather than lynchings where people were actually tortured to death in public or something like Emmett Till being murdered and his eyes cut out? I think he really over-does it with the insistence that the events he's describing are alien and beyond the comprehension of "we moderns".
