Much like with [REC]3, this is only available via physical media in the US, but it's widely available elsewhere and you're not missing much if you can't see it.

The conventional wisdom is that this one rights the ship after the disaster of [REC]3, restoring the tone and returning to the original storyline/characters to bring about a solid ending to the series.

For me, once they'd given up the original storyline/tone with the previous film, the momentum was lost forever. If the last film was misplaced ambition, this is zero ambition: rehashed ideas from the first two and the lesser Alien sequels, warmed up and offered to fans as half-hearted fan service to try and salvage the IP. I kept fast-forwarding. It was just forgettable and badly lacking in inspiration.

Same as the previous movie. It's, like, fine? I like the idea of zombie outbreak on an oil tanker, but it would've better not tied to the franchise.

Just, no. (I thoroughly enjoyed parts 1 & 2 though.)
