Additional Notes:

1) Haha whoops, I forgot to put in above that Chris Jericho will actually have another "TV Time" segment tonight, presumably with Big Bill and Bryan Keith by his side.

2) If it seems that there's not enough matches on this card in the run-up to next week's (!!) Blood & Guts Match, there's a rumor going around that recent free agent -- and anti-gravity man-- Ricochet might debut tonight.

3) Sports Illustrated did an article about the very successful Mariah May angle, which gives us this insight into who was part of the booking strategy:

“Bryan Danielson and [Tony Khan] were flying home from Double or Nothing, and we were talking about wrestling and what stuck out to us, and Bryan asked, ‘Have you seen Mariah?’” said Khan. “I said I had, and that I was amazed at how, very quickly, she’d become one of the top stars in Stardom. We both agreed she was very polished and charismatic. That’s when I asked Bryan if he’d seen All About Eve and Sunset Boulevard.”

I was very nearly certain MJF and WIll would go to a time-limit draw. These two put on a clinic of moves -- with MJF pulling piledrivers, Made-In-Japans, and even teasing the kangaroo kick. Meanwhile Will rediscovers the Styles Clash and the Cross-Rhodes, plus several leaping Hidden Blades. It came down to Max finally finding an opportunity to cheat in the last 10 seconds, leaving the door open for Will's righteous homeland vengeance at All Out.

Oh, I forgot that among the shoutouts in the opening match was a callback to Will's JoJo moment vs. Kota Ibushi.

Nyla vs. Mercedes was probably never in doubt, but Nyla turned up the heat anyway. Mercedes still looks like an ineffective heel though, sucking up to the Elite backstage to get Britt Baker banned during the match, but who shows up (in a Sting mask, which should have been a dead giveaway)?

Also Okada is suddenly thirsty for Mercedes, you have a wife dude! She's more famous than you (in certain circles)!

Mariah may comes out in her final form of Toni Storm cosplay to cut an extremely evil promo, but my jaw was already hanging from hearing Tony Schiavone lose his temper with her and actually call her "bitch" on commentary! It wasn't even a commercial break! To quote my watch group: "He said it with the ire that I believed he was gonna get in there. Like that was seeing an equal, wanting to strike a fellow challenger."
