Ah, I forgot to add the trailer or the Rotten Tomatoes scores (92% critic, 54% audience).

I watched this tonight and thought it was good fun.

I enjoyed this too! Anyone else who does would do well to check out Sightseers, as both are written/co-written by and starring Alice Lowe.

Oh I absolutely LOVE this movie. Alice Lowe is so damn fantastic. I also love Sightseers.

Anyone who liked this should check out Lowe in Garth Marenghi's Darkplace. It's an absolutely fantastic horror parody and I can almost guarantee you will laugh so hard you'll bother the neighbors.

YES a group of friends of mine discovered that show a few years ago and absolutely fell in love. I need to put it a post for it because it needs more appreciation.

Darkplace's creator/star, Matthew Holness, went on to make a legit horror film called Possum. I haven't seen it but it's gotten very good reviews.

Lowe was very good on Darkplace in a role that was kind of a meta parody of a thankless role. She was supposed to be the token girl and the love interest, a placeholder character who was obviously written by a guy with a lot of hang-ups about women, and Lowe hit just the right note of weird, wide-eyed blankness.

An interesting FYI about this movie: Lowe thought up the premise when she was pregnant and couldn't get any other roles. She was 8 months pregnant during the shoot, and the newborn baby in the film is her own child!
