The Golden Bachelorette: Las Vegas, Kickball, and an Unadvised Horseback Outing

In case someone is thinking about watching this show, in this one Joan goes on a date with the Frenchman, Pascal, and Wayne Newton (not a lookalike) comes to their romantic day in a suite of the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas, and sings for them. And that’s just the beginning.
Similar to the Golden Bachelor’s women, these men are here for each other and it’s so damn heartwarming. You should watch it. lol
Eric Dickerson and Andre Reed (popular retired football players) come to the group date where the guys play a game of kickball, with the winning team getting an afterparty with Joan. It is sponsored by Quaker Oats and is called the Kickbowl. A young woman in the crowd in the bleachers holds up a “Septuagenarians Rule” sign. Finally, they must have orchestrated this in the manner of reality shows because it is the final inning for the final team, and they are down 1 run with 2 outs and the bases loaded.* Many return to the mansion with minor injuries but everyone gets a masseuse.
For the last date, Joan and her date (neither of whom have ever ridden a horse), ride horses for most of a day (it seems like). These are not young people. Riding horses causes sore parts in YOUNG people riding for the first time. I saw grimaces on their faces and walking gingerly when they finally left the horses, and I cursed the person who decided this was a good idea.
Wayne Newton’s teeth are uncanny valley. I just had to say that.
*The tie-ing run is tagged out, in case the suspense was killing you.
