Black Cab (2024)

A young couple finds themselves in danger when a seemingly jovial cab driver turns threatening.

When Anne (Synnove Karlsen) and Patrick (Luke Norris) hail a black cab after a night out, their driver (Nick Frost) is chatty, jovial even, but they are in no mood to talk. In fact, the couple is barely on speaking terms. That is, until they realize the driver has no intention of taking them home. Locked in the cab with no means of escape, the driver transports the couple to a stretch of deserted and supposedly haunted road.

Written by Virginia Gilbert and directed by Bruce Goodison.

I found this deeply meh. I found the characters too one dimensional to really care much. The director banks an awful on Frost being able to carry the entire film, and while Frost has some fun moments it's just not enough when the other 2/3 of the characters are basically just cardboard cut outs.
