[TRAILER] Royce returns home to the backwoods of Florida to look after a house that was once his late father’s. At first welcomed back by longtime family friend Booker, Royce begins to falls for a mysterious woman from a strange family living in the nearby woods.

Yeah it isn't a very well directed (or acted) film. But I think there's good film in there as I think there's some interesting ideas. The remastering is surprisingly clean for this obscurity.

The best parts are in the script, the production design, and the editing... all of which are by Charné Porter.

The Severin box also includes some of Porter's notes on the themes behind the story and they're very interesting.

An interesting thing I learned from the Severin podcast is that "Will Sennett" (the name given for the actor playing the lead, Royce) was a one-time pseudonym for Larry Miller, an acclaimed NYC intermedia artist linked to the Fluxus movement.

Also, Kier-La Janisse said that one of Charné Porter's exes is Harry Crews, which totally tracks somehow.
