But when Teddy leaves home to pursue his goal to become an artist at the School of Design in Montreal, Emily's world collapses. I really had mixed feelings about this one. I loved all the sections about writing and Emily's dedication to it, but it seemed like even though she chose to stay at New Moon, she might have actually been better served by leaving and going to New York.

I had the random thought that Ilse's style was the equivalent of Claudia Kishi's style from Baby-sitters Club, given all the descriptions of clothes "only she could have gotten away with".

I hated so much of this, mostly to do with mooning after Teddy (who is kind of a drip) and the emotional/psychological abuse by Dean Priest (who is a groomer).

UGH.
