Rúnar Rúnarsson is one of my favorite Icelandic filmmakers, and his 2019 "Echo" is one of my all-time beloved cinematic poems. It's a collection of "unrelated" 56 very short episodes, all describing the feeling of "Iceland during the Christmas holidays". It's a newer, 2nd level Roy Andersson. I highly recommend it.
💯 score on Rotten Tomatoes.
7.0 on IMDb.
All of Rúnarsson's films are terrific.

"Echo", btw, is similar in mood (but not in style) to Symphony no. 42, an animated short by a young Hungarian animator, Réka Bucsi, from 2014. She condenses 47 episodes into 9 minutes, and I watched it 10-15 times already.
