The announced card for Collision tonight (some of it announced just a few hours ago):

I thought that FTR vs. Undisputed would have some callbacks to their NXT dream match from back in 2019, but I'll rely on internet historians with video editing to figure that out. Dax sees that O'Reilly had his foot on the ropes, and demands that the match should be restarted because he "doesn't want to win that way", and the following 10 minutes are some FUCKING GREAT tag team action, moving fast and hitting hard.

I will gripe a bit about how Undisputed managed to kick out of FTR's rare suplex-splash finisher (I forgot what it's called) and avoid the Shatter Machine, but FTR somehow loses to a single High-Low and then walks away refusing a handshake. That's a step down a road that usually leads to a heel turn or a tag-team breakup.

Willie Mack -- The Chocolate Juggalo -- shows up for a match with Wheeler Yuta that doesn't go too long but gives Willie some time to show off while I reminisce about Lucha Underground again. Yuta endures and finishes him off with the Busaiku Knee, and it only just now occurred to me: Wheeler helped "end the career" of Bryan Danielson, and now he is becoming Bryan Danielson, only he's entering where Bryan was circa 2006 Ring Of Honor. He's now the arrogant long-haired troublemaker with the unkempt hair and beard.

The only difference is that Moxley is leaning on him as the last uninjured Death Rider, and suddenly Yuta's whole demeanor changes to a sullen grade-schooler. The pop he'll get when/if he finally turns on Moxley will be large, especially if Danielson can somehow be physically present to help make it happen.

The Infantry show up with Shane Taylor to have a meaningless trios match, but then Adam Cole comes out interrupting their post-match walkaway. Now I had imagined that the ramifications of that insult might take a while to simmer and boil over but we get something that's very rare for AEW, the third-party run-in causing a disqualification finish to a title match. Which is a shame, because until the interruption that match was going great. Certainly I didn't want Cole to take the title so close to a PPV, but these two had some real competitive energy.
