The John Henry subplot was the most interesting part of this season. The interactions with Ellison and Weaver especially. It’s too bad we didn’t get to see where it was headed since the show was cancelled. It stands in contrast to many of the side quest subplots which are C+ writing. I think the writers had a hard time… every episode can’t be “another terminator appears, almost wins, but the heroes prevail in the end”, so they did a lot of flailing.
