It felt like they were really pushing for some forced perspective hobbitness between Faile and Perrin. Otherwise it felt like another setup episode, I don't know that we really learned anything new, although it was nice to finally move in on the whitecloak encampment.

I'm really liking Faile.
Pretty much exactly as I'd imagined her (only much hotter because literally every actor in this show is much hotter than they need to be).

She's just like hey, some strangers need rescuing? I'll kill a bunch of soldiers to save you even if I wasn't invited along. Why else would I have these dope knives?

I feel like Egwene meeting Perrin in the dream world should have been a bigger deal?

Faile may be small but she really knows how to fight!

I agree, this episode was more about putting people in place for fireworks to happen in later episodes. How may episodes is this season anyway?

I got the impression that only Lanfear noticed Egwene in their dreams. She didn't really meet the others, just was watching in on their dreams.

So now Siuan has to convince the White Tower to bend its knee to Rand while Elaida wants them to chain him. Are we coming up to another example of how elections have consequences? Also, are the Aes Sedai the only people that vote for their leaders in this world?

I think so. The only exceptions to straight-up monarchy that I can recall are essentially oligarchies. These are very technically spoilers, although they're extremely minor. We might never even see some of these people or places in the show, but click "Details" to see, well, the details:

The country of Arad Doman has a Council of Merchants that elect a king (and can depose him by vote). Tarabon, the country of which Tanchico is the capital, has an Assembly of Lords with a similar role. The independent city-state of Far Madding has a matriarchal committee of Counsels.

It wasn’t an exciting episode per se, but I did enjoy the time spent with the characters and the worldbuilding while all the pieces are being set up for the last couple of episodes (we have three left).

Highlights for me:
- Moiraine and Lan vs oosquai
- Rand playing with adorable small child
- Aviendha palpably annoyed that Rand actually likes Aiel cuisine so she can’t criticize him for it
- Sea Folk weaves looking like the Northern Lights
- Moiraine/Siuan goodbye
- Egwene being a sneak prying into all her friends’ dreams, but also a big sap when she sees them happy
- Hopper sighting!!
- All the Two Rivers folks have wistful emotional dreams that reflect everything they’ve been through since they left home; meanwhile Elayne’s is light-hearted and a bit silly, which was a great character note about how different her life has been from the others’

I recall a couple other variations of oligarchy, plus a lot of small communities like the Aiel clans, the Two Rivers (which is Andoran on paper but self-governing in practice) and many other essentially stateless villages and regions, the Sea Folk who are a whole other kettle of fish, etc. It really isn't a bunch of nice neat monarchies, whatever the monarchs would like everyone to believe.
