The Radleys (2024)

It follows a seemingly ordinary family with a dark secret: they are vampires. They choose not to drink blood despite their natural cravings, but their truth is revealed one day.
I watched this with Kitteh, across an arc that started mildly intrigued, then sort of baffled by some of the choices the filmmakers were making, then boredom, punctuated by a simmering rage, but a specific kind of rage that exists concurrent with boredom and can only be caused by boredom, completely unnecessary boredom, this is a decent premise and a great cast, what the hell, movie?!?
It defiantly doesn't have a main character, much of a plot, or any commitment to occupy anything in the horror / comedy / drama space. It made me feel like I was listening to a super high guy at a party meander on about all his, like, ideas for a vampire movie but y'know it's not like really about vampires, mannnnn, it's like, you know, about suburbia, and also addiction and, like, kids and maybe their feelings, and like brothers, and, like, stuff?
I'd much rather watch a bad movie than this movie, which was so relentlessly fine that you couldn't quite justify turning it off, but by the end deeply regretted leaving it on.
Boo, Radleys.

This was such a confusing movie! Too long by half, no clear protagonist(s), and while I don't need a massive backstory, there are so many holes in the main plot.
