History channel's Alone --- any interest?

Anyone else following History Channel's Alone? I just started watching it and I am definitely interested in talking about how this is all playing out so far. If you're not familiar, it's a reality show which drops 10 self-proclaimed survivalists onto an island filled with cougars, bears, wolves and rain and sees how long they can last.
Put it this way: I just finished episode 4 and I would say just witnessed the first badass moment. The rest of the time thus yet has been filled with contestants emphatically not being badass. Would love to know what other people think re how much of events can be chalked up to Mother Nature vs. how much to clever and devious casting directors.

It was an entertaining show and they definitely lucked out with some of their competitors who have great screen presences. I might be able to contribute some post-watch insight, but it'd be rusty.
