Battlestar Galactica (2004) Rewatch?

So, last year three ants started a first watch for the Battlestar Galactica miniseries, though it only got one episode in. I've just started rewatching the series and would love to talk about it. I was thinking about starting a regular rewatch club at around two episodes a week. Anyone interested? I would probably skip the miniseries (which I have already rewatched) and make the first post be for "33."

Okay, if the show request gets approved (however that works), I'll put episode 1 ("33") up today. I'm figuring on a two-episode per week schedule. So if the first one goes up today, I'll probably post new episodes on Wednesdays and Sundays.

I'd enjoy a full series wide spoilers/analysis rewatch. The general topic of AI, what is AI, what is possible and what's imminent with our personal cylons roomba friends is topical to the story and current events. The individual episodes are sometimes a bit shallow without the fuller context.

I'm not sure the BSG remake is really the place to go for "AI" discussion, unless you're comfortable going / want to go well beyond the context of even the series as a whole -- the more we learn about the cylons over the course of the series, the less interesting I find them. It's like the thing how TV aliens are people with forehead appliques -- TV AIs are highschool drama with pretentious intro-sequence voiceovers?

Having sat with this comment for a day or so, let me be clear: I am not at all opposed to rewatching BSG. It's still really great TV (the first season particularly). I have my beef with the later bits, which I would be happy to discuss with others, along with the good bits!
