Wow, so young Roger is (a) some sort of ghost zombie child, (b) most likely some other version of Earl himself from back in the steam engine era?

Oh, the sads Earl feels!

Also, that is sure some kr8tiv cooking y'all did in Night Vale just now.

Theories about Roger:

- He is one of the ghost children from the Eternal Scout ceremony
- He is or is related to whatever Chad summoned in the September Monologues a year ago.
- He is younger-Earl.

"The trial will be held just as soon as they can find a jury of Hiram’s peers. So far, they have found a salamander. But it’s tiny. And cannot speak human languages. Let alone hold still long enough to listen to the lawyers discuss jury selections. Also, it’s an amphibian, not a reptile, so…that’s pretty insensitive."

I loled.

Night Vale really lost something when they added other voices.

Agree, sometimes: Carlos did nothing for me for a while, and I don't love Wil Wheaton as Earl Harlan.

Disagree, sometimes: It is never not awesome to hear Hal Lublin as Steve Carlsberg mimic the other characters' voices, and I love Deb, the sentient patch of haze.

I think Roger is definitely some time traveling past version of Earl.

I actually really like the other voices. Having seen a few of them in person cracked me up even more.

Steve Carlsberg is the only one of them that can actually cook and they won't let him in the kitchen.

Deb is a great character and I think Roger may be the very first semi-ghost/zombie child in creation.
