I wanted to like this - I am a sucker for the 'quirky genius + lady cop' formula (still watching Castle umpteen seasons on) and the mysterious/secret resurrection (anyone remember Now and Again?) story, but this was not great. I can't tell if they're trying to set up a redemption arc for Pritchard, or if they're trying to say that his willingness to use any means necessary when he was sheriff is meant to be admirable. I do love Tim DeKay, and used to enjoy Dilshad Vadsaria on Greek, so, I'll probably keep watching, but, oh well.

The Second Hundred Years (1967)
Prospector Luke Carpenter is buried in an avalanche in 1900 at the age of 33, frozen, and survives in a state of suspended animation. Revived in 1967, he is returned to his family, which now consists of his 67 year old son and 33 year old grandson (who happens to look exactly like him). Oh, and the government wants to keep his "resurrection" a secret.

Together, they (accidentally) solve crimes and sometimes (accidentally) commit them.

There's no Lady Cop, but I think there was one episode with a Lady Reporter, and another with a Lady Russian Spy.

I would much rather watch a show where a young, fit guy turns into surly sheriff Philip Baker Hall and solves crimes.

I can't complain about the amount of new Sci-Fi showing up on TV these days though.
