Yes, H. Jon Benjamin is doing Steve's son Zander's voice, which is the same voice he used for Jason in Home Movies.

I cannot tell you how much good it did my heart to hear the Jason Penopolis voice again.

Gayle: It's just, I've never been on a second date before that the other person knew about. Oh! Why did he say yes? Is he gonna rob me?
Linda: He's going on a second date 'cause he likes you. Do you like him?
Gayle: I think so. I mean, he checks a lot of my boxes. He's a man, he's got a face, he can go outside.
Gene: Lock him down!

- We had to watch that bit a few times. "He checks a lot of my boxes" may become a saying around our house.

Gene: Can we talk about the game plan for the rib roast?
Bob: It-it'll be a little while, Gene.
Gene: I'll take my half now, whatever state it's in.
Bob: It's not cooked, Gene. It's raw.
Gene: I do not mind.

Gene wins MVP for this episode. His lines made otherwise good bits great!

I cannot tell you how many times this exact conversation played out during my childhood but this scene was uncomfortably close to real life.
