How do we add a show? (Les revenants)

I thought I remember reading a FAQ on this, but I just cannot find it this evening. Can someone point be in the right direction? And if there isn't one, the show I'm interested in is season 2 of Les revenenants / The Returned, which just appeared in my US Netflix queue a few days ago. There was a thread that was started awhile back, but then died out.

I think that show has already been added, under it's English name "The Returned." You just got to go to "New Post" while in FanFare and find it from the drop down.

Thanks - I saw that, but the updates stopped after two episodes. I guess the better question would be: How do we re-activate a show?

It's already active? Episodes can be posted by any user who wishes to, including you! It looks like there wasn't all that much interest in it at the time, but maybe the new season on Netflix will spark a little more discussion.

Interestingly, this was added under the English translation of its name before the US remake was done ... and no one ever bothered to try to post about the US version.

I don't think that MeFi has made accommodations yet for this kind of situation, although I've not looked closely for this and I may have missed an example.

Sometimes sites will distinguish shows with a country code in parentheses [The Returned (FR) vs The Returned (US)] and sometimes by including the original year for the duplicated name [The Returned vs The Returned (2015)]. In my media center collection, I tend to use the original foreign language title whenever possible and when it's a US/UK/CA/AU thing, then I use the year marker. (Actually, mostly I now tend to check both TMD and tvdb and use what I find there when I name things so that the metadata agents work properly.)

If Les Revenants is now on Netflix, wasn't it also on Sundance? Or am I misremembering?

I don't think that this will often be a problem because MeFi is so US-centric and the community is small enough that we don't end up posting that many shows. I also think Les Revenants was posted as The Returned only because it was titled that way on whatever US network it appeared on, and if, say, someone had posted (requested the addition of) Broen/Bron they would have done so that way, and not as The Bridge. And, even if they had, no one here bothered to post the US remake of The Bridge.

I added Les Revenants originally, but on IMDB, which feeds Fanfare, the show has its translated title rather than the French. So, it was approved as The Returned. It originally aired in the U.S. on Sundance; I just finished watching it on Netflix this past weekend. I was going to craft a season two -- complete season post, but I just haven't had time.

I still would love to talk about it, so if any one else was inspired to add that post or episode posts, I would probably chime in. I love talking about this show, and I've not been successful getting my friends to watch.

I still haven't gotten around to watching the second season. It's one of those "was watching the show with someone else" things where syncing up schedules to watch something means that it's easy to get behind and then, eventually, the whole thing falls to the wayside. But you don't watch it on your own because it's that show you were watching with that other person.

Or maybe that just happens to me.

I just started the second season. I really liked the first one and would be into talking about this show for sure!

I fully intended to jump on this, and then my work load metastasized. If I have time this week I'll start with a Season 1 series .

For myself, I decided to re-watch Season 1 as I'd forgotten a lot of the details. I'm glad I did; I'm actually enjoying it even more the second time around. It might take me another month to get to Season 2, so if anyone wants to jump in and start posting that, it's all yours! Otherwise I'll get to it in time.
