Cleopatra 2025

An exotic dancer, cryogenically frozen in the year 2001, is accidentally thawed out in 2525 by two female warriors who are fighting against evil robots which have taken over the world. Anyone else ever watched this?

Ran for a couple of seasons (2000-1) that I think that I caught as a rerun on the SciFi (now SyFy) channel while unemployed after my first job post-college.

I had no idea that Gina Torres (Firefly Zoe) was in it! And! She performed the theme song! Amiga-tastic CG.

Is it available anywhere?

iirc, it retrospectively (?) passes the Bechdel test with flying colours and the series ending plotline reveal was pretty poignant?

I caught maybe half the run? I don't remember when or why I stopped, but it might have been the episode with them ping-ponging a baby through the shafts their base was concealed in, or maybe the local affiliate moved them to a timeslot of doom.

A casual Googling isn't revealing any non-piratey ways to stream it, unfortunately. Just seeing DVDs for sale and unsavory, not-recommended venues.

Sidenote: I never write fan mail, but I broke that rule over an essay Jennifer Sky wrote one time, and she was pretty awesome.

Backed by Jack of All Trades, starring Bruce Campbell - which means it will eventually turn up.

It's VERY imperfect, I know, but YouTube has versions.

I only watched an episode or two of either back in the TV era, and my memories are not fond, but I reckon it might be worth a grey market DVD if you can't wait and it ain't available anywhere legit.

I watched it when it first aired, and I liked it well enough to keep up with it. The package with Jack of All Trades was an independent production and the station that carried it in my area bounced it all over the schedule (kind of the way B5 and Andromeda were handled) I'm pretty sure season 2 never aired in my area, and I'm not sure I ever saw the end of S1.

I watched this on and off on Hulu. They only ever had the 1/2 hour episodes. I always thought the idea was to keep some content offline to create DVD sales. I wish Jennifer Sky was still acting, but she seems to be doing OK for herself.
