This episode was a delightful skewering of the TV psychologist phenomenon. Really nailed it; Goldblum was perfect. And I'm super glad they finally dropped the Cyndee-marrying-a-fag thing. It was old in the episode where it happened the first time.

Jeff Goldblum did a really good job of playing a sleazy, unlikeable character! This was one of those episodes where the line was pretty blurry about whether it was even really parody or not. I almost felt at times like it somehow wasn't exaggerated enough to be funny instead of just exasperating and cause for despair re: the future of humanity.

Cyndee's fiancé was really wearing thin as a plot point, but his clear desperation to not get married was at least pretty amusing at times, especially given that a last chance to prevent the marriage was literally written into his vows. It's sort of interesting, at least, to see the flip side of that line from the very first episode about the incredible things women will do for fear of seeming rude. That said: not really gonna miss this subplot overall.

My wife seriously dislikes Jeff Goldblum, but even she thought he was perfect here.
