Confession: I only watched the first few episodes. It was such a disappointment to me after loving the first season. I binged the whole first season in a little over a week and found its depiction of women to be kind of thrilling. I developed this whole little theory of the characters as a gender-bent Mad Men.*

But I just found this season kind of hard to watch. Too much Chet maybe? And the way the Black Lives Matter stuff was played rubbed me the wrong way. Did it get better?

I love your unreal/mad men match-ups. Beautiful. Something about Adam/Rachel Menken works especially well somehow.

I will say with all the fake-outs about how it was going to wind up, I'm glad Ruby got a dignified, happy ending.

The car crash part... well, yikes. A little too neat, no?
