The Librarians: And the Rise of Chaos
November 21, 2016 1:49 PM - Season 3, Episode 1 - Subscribe
The Librarians return with a new nemesis in their Season 3 premiere, the ancient Egyptian god of Chaos. As the re-awakened god seeks to upset the balance of good and evil in the universe, the defenders of the Library also find themselves opposed by a new government agency, the Department of Statistical Anomalies.
Joining The Librarians this season is none other than Vanessa Williams!

but wasn't sure anyone else was still watching.
I saw a blurb while mostly asleep but it seemed the wrong time for re-runs so was confused. This should become the next long running dr-who-ish series, could they do a crossover? Is there a library in Cardiff?

Still watching. Still silly. Still enjoying it.
A couple of false notes, but it was okay.

I am an extra in this episode! Commander Riker told me he liked my energy. Sadly, he was not executing the Riker lean while talking to me.

I'm interested to see where this season goes, but I watched it last night, and it was fun, and they did not do things that would make me throw things at the screen.
(I was, for a moment, dubious at the lingering shot on Anubis in the open, and then they were better about their mythology than that, which I figured they would be, because this show, it is better than that, but it was reassuring they were.)
Also, I totally cracked up at the song choice, since of course it has Boston-specific relevance. (Link is a spoiler.)

I put the post up thinking, "There were MeFites who tuned in last season...." Glad to see it's still true!
I'm a bit concerned with Baird training Stone, in that I wonder if this could be the last season for Rebecca Romijn. Hrm.
Other than that, I got exactly what I tuned in for, an episode of The Librarians. I admit, I was a little disappointed none of the Librarians were trapped inside the Wicker Man at the beginning, but the characters generally felt on the nose for personality and what not. The solution to overcoming Chaos with a stirring rendition of The Battle Hymn of the Republic was spot on for the show.

Kristian Kane's haircut is better this year - I'll always prefer the glory of the Leverage years, but, at least the weird faux-hawk is diminished. And the submarine geek-out was cute.
