A new member, Artemis, fills out the core team. They must protect a scientist from the League of Shadows, which , in spite of the show’s TV-PG rating, still can’t be called the League of Assassins.
The team battles League of Shadows members Cheshire, Hook, and Black Spider, who bears an uncanny resemblance to Spider-Man, which was the star of Greg Weisman’s previous show, The Spectacular Spider-Man. That show was cancelled prematurely and replaced by Ultimate Spider-Man, which sucks. Of course, Young Justice was cancelled prematurely, too, but it is actually coming back.
Somewhat relatedly, Cartoon Network just released a preview of Justice League Action, which premiers December 24.
