Official Synopsis
"A plan is only as good as those who see it through." Padmé Amidala and C-3PO are taken hostage by General Grievous, leaving Anakin and Obi-Wan to save the Senator and complete the destruction of the Malevolence.
Trivia!
  • Three Republic warships pursue the Malevolence, among them is the Resolute, Skywalker's flagship marked by its red conning towers.
  • The original script had Padme rushing to the battle site to aid in the evacuation of the Kaliida Shoals Med Center, but was changed to have her tricked into becoming General Grievous' hostage.
  • The fire fighter droids were given reflective paint to resemble the uniforms worn by fire fighters.
  • In the original script, Anakin had planned a micro hyperspace jump to bring his ship within inches of the Malevolence's hull.
  • General Grievous' "Hello there," to Kenobi was a callback to Kenobi's "Hello there" to Grievous in Revenge of the Sith. which itself was a callback to Kenobi's "Hello there" to R2-D2 in A New Hope.
  • The design of the rail-jet car drew inspiration from the Trade Federation MTT tanks from The Phantom Menace.
  • If you listen carefully in the rail-car scenes, you will hear "Mind the gap."
  • The final frame of the episode is the first time all of the characters from the Prequel Trilogy are depicted in one shot.
Next time on the Clone Wars!

"Rookies" is the next episode in the chronological viewing order, which is the fifth episode of Season One!

My kids really liked seeing Padme (they haven't seen any of the prequel movies yet, but have apparently memorized the Star Wars encyclopedia they have). I thought the fighting on the moving trains was pretty cool.
