Season 2 begins. Terrible things happen to Dan.
It feels weird to post about a program just to gripe about it - but, as someone who was a fan of the first season because of a strong and instinctive love of gonzo architecture-themed social anthropology, and who was willing to stomach the goofy horror aspects of the first season to get to the more interesting bits. . . I'm finding it pretty hard to care about the new season.
Listening to bad voice actors exploring a world with no rules and nothing recognizable and utterly implausible cassette-punk nonsense is a lot less interesting than listening to bad voice actors exploring a slightly weird and creepy apartment building on Earth.
But, for what it's worth, I withdraw some of my previous criticism of the Davenport actor. Clearly there's some directorial fault involved as well. Whoever listened to the final cut of the goofy scream transitions in this program and said, "yeah, that's great, let's go with that" deserves to be thrown into a pit with ratty.

"How about a hard left turn into insane body horror that will make at least one person have to violently unplug their phone and pull into a rest area to catch a fucking breath before continuing their commute?"
"Brilliant!"
