The episode description bugged me (it's not oh yeah!'s fault, that's what IMDb has), he didn't force the crash, they crashed it trying to reboot the system because of the self destruct initiation. And being stranded seventy million years in the past was the subplot.
How did she know about the kiss?? Like was it because she saw what was going on in his mind? Does the ship have telepathic powers? That was also the actual actress that does Gideon's voice! She's... quite attractive. I'd kiss any ship that looks like that!

I think they established in an earlier episode that the ship actually can read minds, or at least see into people's dreams. IIRC it was a throwaway exchange after Sara had a sex dream about a woman. I remember thinking "Really? Doesn't that have major implications? How come this hasn't come up before?!?" I think it was last season.

I loved the way they handled the dinosaurs: not seen until absolutely necessary. Well done!
I don't like the idea of Rip being back. Yes, he seems better now (I think it's the hair--or maybe it's just turning evil--but he has more of an authoritative presence this season) but he's an unneeded cog at this point. I have no clue how they're going to get rid of him unless he winds up sacrificing himself for the good of the team and/or time/history. Does anybody know what the actor's contract status is?
Is there anything that says Nate can't be Mari's grandfather? I don't think we know enough about Amaya's history to rule that out, do we?
It's about time Mick used a little of his Chronos knowledge to help the mission. That's one area the writers really underplay, and it's one area that should be brought to the fore a lot more.

It would also make sense if Gideon used Space Magic to hitch a ride on the cognitive intrusion, and that was Actual Gideon helping them. I feel like Rip should have recognized her if she was a memory or an internal construct; if she's an intruder, she'd generate her own appearance.

Ray + dinoland is adorable. Especially with rock people. And I can't argue the point of "Amaya and you probably can't be together 4-evah," though yeah, he could just be Mari's grandfather as well.
Rip is more bearable now, I hope that continues since we're stuck with him again.
Gideon is hot and yet Sara did not get to kiss her. HMMMMMM. It's a Ship Who Sang romance for Gideon and Rip! I keep wondering if they are ever going to show how Gideon came about--was she a person put into a machine?
Yeah, that's an excellent idea to get Mick beers before doing this mental procedure.

I just noticed that the avclub review said this:
Nate realizes the scope of his feelings when Amaya confronts a rampaging Gertrude, and while nothing bad happens because Amaya channels the essence of a T-Rex to calmly communicate with the dinosaur, Nate is shaken by the prospect of her death in that moment.
what????? Is that what you guys got from that scene? Because holy shit no that is not what happened
