Everyone tries to decide what they most want out of life, and some people's past decisions come back to haunt them.

  • Ancient Witch Magic (which may be part of the very ground of New Orleans) tries to return.
  • Freya's paranoia makes her act even more out of character.
  • Rebecka and Kohl bond.
  • Marcel is almost bested by magic (because plot) and some strange alliances are formed.
  • There is still a strange attitude towards leaving discarded corpses in plain site

I don't know if it's so much "out of character" for Freya, so much as that Freya is so new that her character just isn't really well defined yet. We really mostly saw her in relation to the others, not in situations of her own with outside characters.

The other thing is that Freya has been raised even less well than the Michaelsons, if that's even possible.

I have to say that I find the ancient witch magic taking over Hope that easily to be kiiiiiind of sketchy. She's wearing an anti-witch bracelet, I can't believe it got her just in the time it took to deal with a butterfly. And if it was that easy to siphon their lives, why kidnap the other children at all? Be way easier to just take a bunch of hairbrushes.
