My wife watches the hell out of this show, while I usually have to leave the room when it's on. I have accidentally heard Josh sing in previous episodes, and think he has a good bluesy voice.

That said, I was in another room when I overheard Josh and Usher make an utter mess of Every Breath You Take. I had to run to the tv to make sure I was hearing what I thought I was hearing. They took every ounce of quiet, brooding tension out of that song and made it into yet another loud, sparkly, pop-diva showcase. Even my wife, who is rooting for Josh, hated that treatment, and she's not a Police fan. But, she does like that particular song.

So the winner in an upset is Josh Kaufmann.

Ooo, I was wondering if anyone else on MeFi watches The Voice. Most of the folks on the TWOP Voice forums are migrating over to Previously.TV.

I was really happy that Josh won out of the three finalists, but I thought this season was lackluster compared to the talent in previous seasons. I'm really tired of Adam Levine's schtick and wish he was leaving the show instead of Shakira, but he seems to be there for good.

I was pretty sure the fix was in for Christina Grimmie-- she had already done a bunch of stuff for disney, toured with selena gomez, was on Adam Levine's talent agency, and had done a bunch of tv and radio appearances-- not to mention the 100 million views on her youtube page and 2 albums on itunes that already charted on Billboard.
