The Legend of Korra: Day of the Colossus Season 4, Ep 12
The penultimate episode of the Legend of Korra begins with Kuvira towering above the surrendered city of the United Republic in her giant mech suit, but not with Korra and her friends accepting the status quo. While the benders of the group do everything they can to slow down Kuvira's advancement, Asami and Varrick race to deploy two prototype flying mech suits. Meanwhile, Hiroshi Sato, Asami's father and former Equalist supporter, returns with what might be Republic City's only hope, an idea to bring down the platinum colossus. The Legend of Korra: Kuvira's Gambit Season 4, Ep 11
Bolin crashes a presidential meeting once again with Suyin and Zhu Li in tow to warn of Kuvira's super weapon and the impending attack on Republic City. Prince Wu shares his struggle over bathroom dependency to encourage the city's residents to evacuate in an orderly manner and Varrick and Zhu Li are reunited. Asami, Mako, Bolin and Korra set off on a mission to destroy the spirit cannon before it can reach the city, only to make a horrifying discovery that threatens to upend everyone's plans. The Legend of Korra: Operation Beifong Season 4, Ep 10
Bolin, Opal, and Lin, are joined by none other than the Beifong matriarch, Toph, in their mission to rescue Suyin and her family from the clutches of Kuvira. In the course of their mission, they discover the super weapon that Varrick had previously warned Kuvira was likely to create and alter their plans accordingly. In Republic City, President Raiko holds a meeting to find out the latest on Varrick and Asami's collaboration for the defense of the city, while Korra attempts to convince the resident spirits to join the fight. The Legend of Korra: Remembrances Season 4, Ep 8
In a series of flashbacks, narrated by Mako, Korra and Varrick, moments from the past seasons are resurrected. Mako describes his romantic past to Wu, his grandmother and cousin, while Korra reflects to Asami on whether an Avatar is really needed in the modern world by recounting her past enemies. On a small boat slowly making its way north, Varrick entertains the refugees from Kuvira's reeducation camp with his idea for the best movie ever, based on events in Bolin's and his life, mixed with events from the previous seasons. The Legend of Korra: Reunion Season 4, Ep 7
In the wake of her defeat at the hands of the Great Uniter, Korra returns at last to the place where her journey as Avatar began, Republic City. After a brief reunion with Asami and Mako, the trio quickly find themselves in a rescue mission to save Prince Wu from the designs of Kuvira. Far and away, Verrick and Bolin continue their trek to Republic City to warn everyone of Kuvira's plans and run into escapees from one of Kuvira's concentration camps. Together the group plots a plan to make their way out of Earth Empire controlled territory. Also, Pabu and Naga, and Meelo does not earn his tats. [more inside]
The Legend of Korra: The Battle of Zaofu Season 4, Ep 6
With Kuvira's army encamped before the Metal Clan city of Zaofu, the clan's matriarch, Suyin, along with her sons attempt a last ditch effort to take out Kuvira while she sleeps before her army can attack. In a test of how much Korra has actually recovered since the removal of the remaining poison in her system, the Avatar attempts to fight Kuvira in a duel without the use of the Avatar State with painful results. Varrick with his new assistant, Bolin, are forced to continue work on the spirit vine weapon under the watchful eye of Mr. Scientist Bataar, Jr, with explosive results. [more inside]
The Legend of Korra: Enemy at the Gates Season 4, Ep 5
Kuvira's army has arrived on the plains before Zaofu, the home of the Metal Clan, and the last remaining state not incorporated into Kuvira's Earth Empire. Korra with the Air Kids chooses to head to Zaofu as well, this time determined to try a new tactic that doesn't rely on violence to resolve the conflict. Varrick continues his experimentation with the spirit vines and Kuvira enlists Bolin to help convince Suyin that the Empire is a force for good. Meanwhile, back in Republic City, Asami meets with her father, Hiroshi Sato, still imprisoned for his support of Amon and the Equalists four years ago. [more inside]

Coronation day has arrived for Prince Wu, heir to the Earth Kingdom throne, and all that stands between his and the unfortunate Mako's journey to Ba Sing Se is a ceremony to be held in Republic City. The world leaders gather in attendance, as well the Great Uniter, General Kuvira of the Metal Clan, who Tenzin is beginning to have doubts about. Back in the great swamp of the Earth Kingdom, Korra asks Toph Beifong to train her and help her return to her previous fighting form, something Toph readily agrees to with much relish. The Legend of Korra: Korra Alone Season 4, Ep 2
The past three years of Korra's life are revealed in a series of flashbacks which began with her return to the Southern Water Tribe and a two week stay that extended to two years. Between the flashbacks of Korra's struggle through rehabilitation, to gain the use of her legs and to deal with her PTSD, she is haunted by the vision a dark spectre version of herself in the Avatar state, adorned in the chains and manacles from the Red Lotus' attempt to kill her and break the Avatar cycle. The episode concludes with Korra being lead into the great jungle of the Earth Kingdom and a sight for sore eyes. [more inside]

The final season of Legend of Korra premiered today with our return to the Avatar world three years from the conclusion of events at the end of Season 3. It is a world still adjusting to the chaos of the Red Lotus and the reintroduction of spirits into the material world. It is a world that finds Team Avatar dissolved with its members pursuing different paths and a restored Air Nomad nation serving as a peacekeeping force. The first half of the Legend of Korra Book 3 season finale finds Team Avatar along with the Metal Clan on an airship sprinting north to save the newly reestablished Air Nomad nation and to stop the Red Lotus. Faced with the dilemma to surrender herself to Zaheer at the risk of the air benders safety versus an outright rescue attempt, Korra makes a decision that might change the fate of the world, and her own, forever. Ba Sing Se is in chaos, looters flood the upper ring and the Queen's Palace, while fires spread throughout the fallen walled city. Mako and Bolin, freed by Zaheer to deliver a message to the Avatar, manage to secure an Earth Kingdom airship to seek Korra in the desert, but not before saving their large family from a flaming building. Perhaps the last Legend of Korra episode to premier on live television, the peaceful sanctuary of Zhao Fu is shattered by an attempt to kidnap Korra by Zaheer and Company. As Lin expresses outrage over the failure of Suyin's Metal Clan to keep Korra safe, Suyin furiously hunts for an accomplice - the only way Zaheer's team could have infiltrated the city successfully. Also, Bolin and Opal bid a temporary farewell, they will always have kale.
The Legend of Korra: Original Airbenders Season 3, Ep 7
The new air benders begin their instruction in the ways of the Air Nomads at the Northern Air Temple as Tenzin struggles to find the best teaching method to re-establish the Air Nation. Bumi is not impressed. Kai and Jinora continue to bond in the air bison heavy episode that also reveals the air nomad secret of the shaved head. More information is revealed about the Earth Queen, including a rumor so horrendous, it seals her fate in the Top 5 worse people ever in the Avatar Universe!
The Legend of Korra: Old Wounds Season 3, Ep 6
The conflict between Lin Beifong and her sister, Suyin, comes to a head as we learn about the sisters' contentious past and at the same time, Korra has the opportunity to become the first Avatar ever to learn to metal bend. Bolin is called out as fake once again by Opal and Zaheer and Company make an explosive escape out of Republic City on their continuing search for the Avatar.
The Legend of Korra: The Metal Clan Season 3, Ep 5
Team Avatar loses Tenzin as he takes the Earth Kingdom air benders to the Northern Air Temple to learn the ways of the air nomads and everyone else heads for the futuristic Zhao Fu, the home and city of the Metal Clan to find a new air bender. Once there they meet Suyin Beifong, Lin Beifong's half-sister and a whole lot of emotional baggage which also belongs to Lin. Bolin may have a new love interest in Opal, Lin's neice and the Metal Clan air bender, while back at Avatar Island in Republic City, Zaheer infiltrates the ranks of the new air benders in hopes of finding out the whereabouts of Korra. Also, we learn the universe didn't want Varrick to go to answer for his crimes. Nifty spoiler inside! [more inside]
The Legend of Korra: In Harms Way Season 3, Ep 4
Informed by Mako and Bolin of the imprisoned air benders, Korra and Team Avatar plan to break them out. The budding romance between Jinora and Kai takes another step forward, while Team Zuko is defeated handily by Team Anti-Avatar who break out Sparky Sparky Boom Lady from her frozen prison. Lin Beifong appears in Ba Sing Se to warn Korra of the escape and we learn that Zaheer, leader of Team Anti-Avatar, and his compatriots had attempted to kidnap Korra shortly after she was identified as the Avatar, which resulted in their imprisonment. Also, Bumi needs a badger mole who knows morse code.
The Legend of Korra: A Breath of Fresh Air Season 3, Ep 1
