I wasn't sure how this one was going to go, after the Obama interview, but we really enjoyed it. Breaking away from the standard Late Night interview model gives the guests to expand on areas of interest, and not feel like they have to be "witty" with every comment.

I also like what I hope is standard format - talk to the guest a bit, then go on a related tangent a bit, then come back. It was great seeing Clooney's family home and hear from his parents.

I wish this episode as a little longer, I liked hearing Clooney talk about Spencer Tracy and wished we could have gotten more discussion about that. I assume the live audience sees a longer interview, as some of the edits - both this one and in the Obama episode - abruptly cut off conversation and move to another topic.

I keep looking in here to see if more comments have appeared, but I still have not watched this episode myself. I admit I don't know a lot about George Clooney, but what is compelling about him that Dave picked him? I just read about his humanitarian work. And lots of expensive houses. Hmm. Wonder if he is interested in politics.
