My Hero Academia: The Movie (2018)

All Might and Deku accept an invitation to visit a floating man-made city called I Island where they meet a girl and battle against a villain who takes the island hostage.

I don't think it's a spoiler to say that for viewers of the Anime, this story takes place over summer vacation.

I watch the anime with my son. The movie had all the things i like about the show and none of the things I don't, so we came away loving it. Saw it subbed in a full theater and it was a lot of fun.

Finally got to go last night. Was honestly a little surprised how full the theater was, and how various groups of people differed in what they seemed most excited about afterwards. Just in case, because it's set before the most recent show arcs, I won't say anything about specific comparisons, but I'll say I teared up on a number of occasions because of stuff happening in the film compared to what we know happens afterwards.

My only complaint is the insistence that Mineta still exists, which I continue to object to. But the rest of it was lovely.
