The Gifted: unMoored
October 2, 2018 7:06 PM - Season 2, Episode 2 - Subscribe

Thunderbird contacts a mutant lawyer who recruited him to the Underground years ago, hoping she can help him find the Inner Circle...

Lauren and Andy have a shared dream, which distracts Andy from his training and prompts Reeva to consider cutting her losses with him, which, in turn, makes Andy second-guess his separation from his sister. Meanwhile, Reed must keep a huge secret from the group and Jace picks up the mutants' trail again.

Den of Geek review - The Gifted Season 2 picks up speed with a second episode that prioritizes emotion over action.

Solid episode. Competent storytelling that seems to be setting up every major character for some kind of break from their closest relation or other type of internal/psychological/personal identity crisis.

I don't really have a lot of insightful commentary to offer, but I'm glad the show is back, and back comparatively early (at least to other things I watch). It's nice to having something new to look forward to on the schedule.

Yeah, I don't know that I have anything interesting to say either - I'm just glad it's back, and I'm sure I'll find it a nice contrast once the DC-CWverse starts up again next week, so I'll keep posting threads.

That was a good emotional break from the action. The show really knows when to pull back just enough.

one gripe: I had forgotten that this is one of those literally "dark" shows. Where i have to shift my monitor a bit to even see anything in the dark scenes. I guess I have that to be annoyed about with all the shows returning this fall, like Arrow, Supernatural, The Magicians, etc.

I know this is apropos of nothing, but I loved the sunglasses the cuckoos were wearing. There was some really strong character styling going on in this episode.

I love Lorna's new hair, but when did she find the time to grow it out and darken it?
