So. Forgive me. I haven't been watching this, though I've been following along since I'm a really big OG x-men fan and I suppose I've been meaning to start (not loving the Strucker thing honestly considering their origins in the comics as Nazis,) But this has made me pause a bit.

Are you telling me that the "GOOD GUYS" AKA the mutant underground are trying to STOP the "BAD GUYS" AKA the Inner circle/hellfire club from rescuing mutants from medical experimentation?

WTF????

Uh yeah you really need to catch up. The Strucker thing is playing out differently. Also the Inner Circle is basically what Magneto's Brotherhood of Mutants was, very lethal.

I sort of expected that out of Andy and Lorna, but it sucks for Lauren to experience it first hand.

So I hope we get some new blood on the show with the mutants they rescued. Though I wonder if acid-blood man will be helpful after they take out that rebar.

Nah, the Mutant Underground gang was trying to make contact with Andy and Lorna to convince them to come back, the rescue was just where they were able to intercept them, it wasn't like they set out with "Stop the Inner Circle!" as their primary goal. And the Inner Circle didn't actually care about rescuing all the mutants from medical experimentation, they just wanted one specific mutant and would have left all the rest of the mutants in the basement to rot, Lorna only opened up all the cell doors to create a diversion against Blink & Thunderbird following them. The Inner Circle have earned their "BAD GUY" badge by their 'kill whichever mutant or human that gets in the way of The Plan' methods, they're not being unjustly maligned.

You are speaking to a person who owns a “magneto was right” t-shirt, I think I’ll be taking a pass on this series if it portrays marginalized people fighting the oppressor as the bad guys.

So how many innocent bystanders and fellow marginalized people is someone allowed to torture and murder before they count as a baddie? I think you really need to watch the show to form an opinion rather than condemning it without context.
