In giving the gift of Beebo to Zoe, she is condemned to a life of vigilantehood.

I love that Beebo is making its way across the Berlantiverse/Arrowverse. Could that be some sort of foreshadowing for the crossover episode? I hope!

I have always said if they kill off Felicity I am done with this show. Now I live in ambiguity and Felicity had better have faked her own death in the future.

The whole inmate # thing instead of Oliver's name is just ridiculous. If I were him, the first time that question got asked I would have been all, "which name, the given name or serial number?"

Oh yeah, and in another universe, Felicity has a badass empire. Which Felicity is dead, again?

Oh goody, ANOTHER WALL.

They really are pushing Beebo hard this week, first Supergirl, now here. Not that I'm complaining, but I am dying to know how they hope it will pay off.

I'm not sure what they're doing with doctor shrink not-Hugo-Strange. It's not like Oliver hasn't answered to his inmate number before, so I don't know why Parker (is that his name?) has chosen to focus on that particular aspect of Oliver's identity as the means of breaking him. As Jen said, it would have been too easy for Oliver to give the response the doctor wanted.

I also don't see why he'd bother to "reform" Oliver, considering he's supposed to be locked up for quite a while. If he wanted to monkey with Oliver's brain and mind-control him so that Oliver would be his willing puppet vigilante assassin, then there surely must be better ways than making him renounce his vigilante ways.

Also, given all of Oliver's torture-resistant training and practice, wouldn't he have been smart enough to play along in the first place. I mean all he wanted was access to the prisoners in Level Two, and the shrink said he was evaluating Oliver to see if he still constituted a danger to his fellow prisoners. So why didn't he act like a good little inmate, just so he could be released from solitary?

I've been looking for a colorful moto jacket to replace an old one that I have that is nearing the end of its life, and I wish I could find one like that rust one Felicity was wearing when she went to visit Laurel. I don't know if rust is really my colour, but I'd love to try it on and find out.

I do love the fact that somebody finally took a poke at Laurel for practising law without being a lawyer or having any legal training. Good on you, Felicity.

The whole Rene thing bugged me. If Dinah wants Rene to work with her so badly, shouldn't she just deputize him or make him an official CI or something?

They've been telegraphing pretty hard that Zoe was going to pick up the mantle at some point, so I guess it's good that they've finally stopped dropping hints. I'm really not caring too much about what's going on in the future walled city, but maybe it's a lead up into the Elseworlds crossover, with different possible futures being presented to the various teams (because we've got future William and over on Flash, future Nora, so there has got to be some connection). Although how that would lead into the introduction of Batwoman stumps me, so I'm probably wrong on that assumption.

I don't think I heard him say his name, but yeah it's Dr. Jarrett Parker according to the credits. I couldn't get a good read on whether he was genuinely trying to "cure" Oliver, or is really trying to bend him to his will because of a power trip. Or maybe he's the Demon?

Yeah I also dunno why Oliver didn't just play-along to get what he wants. Why is he being all honest and shit to literally every prisoner he meets, but has no problem lying to his loved ones in the past? You choose prison to be mend your lying ways, really Oliver?

I like how everybody's kids are future superheroes on Arrow and Flash, and returning to the past (that's probably William as the new Green Arrow, right?) to save their parents. It's amusing, and it's a nice parallel between the two shows.

What I genuinely like right now with Arrow is an actual discussion about vigilantes vs police. In other shows with actual powered-people, you kinda need powered vigilantes. But Arrow has mostly seen villains with either no powers, or powers that are not over the top. Even the Sirens are not unbeatable. So there's actually a comparable power dynamic with the police. And with a former vigilante like Dinah as a police captain, there's a nuance to the story that you don't normally see in other comic shows.

I was going to say I don't think it can be William as the new Green Arrow running around in the current time line, just because he isn't old enough, but if Nora has travelled back to the past, maybe she brought along William with her. It's certainly a really good theory.

I still think the parkour moves mean it's Roy under the Hood--or that those move have been used deliberately to make the viewers thing it's Roy--but as to why he wouldn't identify himself to the rest of team Arrow, I couldn't say.

Roy's gotten a bit chunky... I dunno if he can still move like that.

Too many Noras on these shows. Nora Allen, Nora West-Allen, Nora Darhk... I get confused reading discussions sometimes.

well there's only two Noras now and they're on different shows, and neither of them have crossed shows (yet). One Nora is always talked about with Barry and Iris and the other with Damien and Ray, I think that's clear enough.

Hey, if episode 5 "The Demon" has broadcast already for anyone, please go ahead and post the thread. It's not airing on the NY/NJ CW station until the weekend, for some reason.
