Awww shit. I may be a mechanics nerd but I’m also running an MOTW campaign inspired by this and the shift of Duck from Chosen to Mundane is AWESOME.

I REALLY enjoyed his helmet freakout.

This was good. I'm kinda feeling a need to relisten to Amnesty from the beginning because there have been so many little breaks between episodes and live shows and such that I'm having a hard time remembering all the threads that are happening now.

I love Duck.

(And I'm totally stealing Larry the Fable Guy for the next time I need a bard in D&D)

Poor Duck. I LOVE the skateboard, though. And the generally pissy new attitude.

Current theory: Aubrey's mother was either descended from, or literally was/is, Sylvane (as in, the spirit or whatever from within the crystal). Aubrey's ultimate destiny as a child of both Sylvane and Earth will be to save both worlds by repairing or stabilizing the rift between them somehow.

I've noticed an interesting trend with my reaction to The Adventure Zone ever since they started doing Amnesty. When a new podcast episode appears I can't bring myself to listen to it right away, and I reflect on how my enthusiasm for the show has changed since Balance ended. Then time passes and I look at the Fanfare thread about the new episode and see people commenting on interesting new things that happen. Then I think "man, I really need to listen to that new episode right now."

I don't know what this means, but this exact sequence has repeated itself at least a half dozen times.

There were a lot of big laughs in this episode like in the opening bit.

I can't get over how simple Ned thinks it's going to be to just 'touch up' the paint on the Crepes By Monica truck.

I also really love what we're learning about Duck, now that he's mundane. He's always acted like he doesn't identify with his 'Chosen' status at all--he pushes it to the side, diminishes it, rejects it. But now that it's gone? Now we get to see how much of his identity was tied up with it.

When your identity is "Reluctant Chosen One" and you suddenly stop being the Chosen One that doesn't leave you with much else to work with.

Also, can we acknowledge that Clint was giving “Crêpes” a correct French pronunciation?

Easy peasy.
