The Mindy Project: Caramel Princess Time

Danny is mad at Mindy for always being late, and Peter deals—badly—with blind date disappointment.

I agree, but with the caveat that the first half-season of Mindy was excruciating compared to now. I held on because I believed in Kaling (yes, some of it was "Yay, a sitcom that's not about white people and their problems!"), but it took some time to gather its feet.
Also, Ali Tolman squeeee. I hope she sticks around. I don't know whether American network TV is ready to have two awesome non-stick-figure women on one show, tho.

"I want you to take our picture, then email it to me, then print out that email, and hand that to me."
I also hope Allison's character remains, because it would be fun to see a more diverse cast being used well, and I want to see Peter/Adam get out of the funk. It's kind of uncomfortable for me to see him so down-and-out for so long. Remember when he was a cocky bro who eventually won everyone over? Then he fell apart, kind of like how Jeremy/Ed gained lost confidence in himself and put on weight, only to rebound to a toned down of his original self.

I understand the whole blind date thing can be funny and generally there is the whole "but what do they look like" problem, but this was odd. I thought they made it pretty clear that Peter was looking for a black woman and was disappointed and confused to see that she was white. So why did they not say anything after that? Why was race not even brought up? They usually have no problem talking about it so I don't know why they didn't here.

Speaking as a not-skinny person myself, I saw it as the fact that she was a rather normal-looking not-skinny woman on the "nice" end of the sexy spectrum instead of a statuesque goddess that he assumed would have met him.

Love that she's a romance writer, and the way Peter totally got sucked into her book. And...and million other things, too. I love this show so hard.

I really enjoyed this, but a continuity thing from the last episode: Mindy, Morgan AND Danny got in trouble with Dr. Fishman for being "sixteen minutes late" to the intro meeting, and Danny seemed relatively blase about it. Argh!
I may have spit-taked a bit at Morgan's "I want to make love to you and trust you." Oh, the Deslauriers.
