The Flash: Time Bomb
March 19, 2019 7:22 PM - Season 5, Episode 17 - Subscribe
Team Flash finds out that a suburban mom named Vickie Bolen is in danger and they race to save her. Upon meeting her, they discover she's a meta-human who is hiding her abilities from her family. Barry encourages Vickie to share her secret with her family, which makes Nora realize she needs to come clean with her parents about Thawne.
Yay! Something happened! Glad to see Orlin go, but hearing him speak without the Cicada voice was nice. It highlights how labored the heavy voice was for all of us. I was telling my girlfriend about a Cicada quote last week and said the quote in the voice just for fun, and because he speaks so slowly it took me forever to say, and even I was bored of it before I finished talking.

This was...probably the best episode of the season so far? (Although Grodd vs. King Shark is kind of in its own separate category IMO.) Which really does, again, highlight how much better this show would be if they would just move things along. The fact that they're letting Sarah Carter act instead of hiding her performance under a breathing mask and ridiculous raspy voice like they did with Chris Klein certainly helps, too.

Uh wtf this episode was actually good? Chalk one up to having actual plot and stakes for once. It reminded me of the glory days of Season 1!

I wonder if Vickie noticed that the Flash and XS always arrived immediately after the two people hanging out with detective West disappeared when trouble arose?

I don't see how if you were just talking to Nora face to face and then you saw XS like a minute later you wouldn't be able to realize they're the same person. At least Barry covers most of his head.

I actually think this is one of Barry's more rational actions, both for their protection and Nora's safety - at least while they process this info and figure out next moves.
(I gave up watching the series in real time and am now catching up on Netflix. Agree that aside from a few minutes of shark/gorilla fighting this was the first episode that made me glad I returned!)
