This episode was pretty silly. From the employee who is just waiting to help our heroes, the robot guard dogs that are not much of a threat, the thing necessary to heal Piper being in an unguarded building, to the robot/cyborg's powers being explained away by her being a robot/cyborg. Alloison Tolman is still wonderful and I love the way the character she is portraying switches between being mom and being sheriff and I like the family but I'm losing faith that the series' creators know where they're going.

Spot!

Yeah, this show is pretty silly. I kinda like that about it, it seems quite knowing in that way.

Well, nice to know my D.A.R.Y.L. vibe hunch was right. And while I agree on the silliness of this episode, it at least was full of enough plot that I wasn't left wishing for a B-plot to perk things up.

This was the episode in which the series took a hard turn toward sci-fi, and I am here for it. I'm also down with the almost Whovian vibe of the last third. In fact, the only thing I found annoying was the realization that Alison Tolman and Ellen are soundalikes.
