It's Bruno!: ...Welcome, Bruno!
January 23, 2020 5:17 PM - Season 1 (Full Season) - Subscribe

This is the story about a man (Malcolm) and his dog (a puggle named Bruno) and their quest for pre-packaged sliced turkey in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Throughout the eight 15-minute episodes, we follow them around, meet their neighbors, friends, and nemeses, and run into some pretty surreal intrigue. Created by Solvan "Slick" Naim, who plays Malcolm. But really—created by Bruno!

This was well paced; it hit all the funny highs and rock-bottom lows; the human and animal characters were varied and interesting (the one really barky little tiny dog made me howl in laughter)... and the only known "star" was the guy who plays Ashy Larry from Chappelle's show.

My only criticism is that it was over so soon! But it ended on a cliffhanger ... so let's keep our fingers crossed for Season 2.

This is a left-field show you can binge-watch in two or three hours. Two paws up, way up. Now, siiiit...? down. Roll over.

I watched the first half of this while high and thought it was hilarious, then I made my sister in law watch the last half with me and we were all horrified. It's definitely not as cute and innocent as the theme song suggests.

Interesting when cute & magic realism & disgust all get whipped up in the same batch, eh?

Huh, well usually I'm a huge sucker for magical realism but either we didn't get to that part or I didn't pick up on it at all. YMMV!

Well, magical realism's how I interpreted the grocery store scene late in the series. There were also plenty of scenes of Bushwick that were portrayed in a very sparkly way. MMV
