This was such a fun episode, I figured it merited a thread. I'm glad I was wrong about Dr. Whitley's solitary confinement punishment being a trapdoor to disappear Michael Sheen from the show, but I also thought that this episode was a terrific showcase for the whole ensemble.

Ok. He just missed his flight.

I am remarkably entertained, good call on the post!

I watched it a second time last night (needed my dose of over-the-topness when it turned out my local CW Channel was preempting Legends of Tomorrow for the State of the Union despite running promos for the episode all week, grr), and streamed it again on my phone just now at work. I really really love this episode, for all the reasons the TV Fanatic recapper enumerates.

And aside from all the funny/meta stuff, I really liked the Malcolm/Dani developments. Like, we’ve all seen the ‘tough lady cop gets glammed up’ makeover trope before, and in a lot of shows that reveal of Dani in the slinky dress would be the big deal for the ship. But really it was their conversation in the car earlier about the horror movie of his own brain, and going to see his father together that was way more significant.
