Trial balloon to see if anyone is interested in discussing this season. I'm really enjoying it so far, a lot more than AS5, which felt like one of those predestined All-Stars arcs for someone whose crown was snatched away in their season 🥀

It's a lot of fun to get more Ginger and Pandora on Drag Race. Kylie Sonique is quickly becoming a new favorite when she was much more understated in her first season. I'm surprised by how much I'm liking Eureka so far (in the workroom and in talking heads) when I disliked her on previous seasons-- maybe she's mellowed, maybe she just doesn't seem as abrasive compared with later seasons. Yara is a wildcard in the Charlie-Kelly-cut-the-brakes-yeehaw sense.

Can't disagree with the first two eliminations but it was good to see Jiggly again; I could have sworn she'd been on a prior AS and it's long overdue, even hitting the make-a-look roadblock (which feels a little inexcusable not to pick up a few tricks for whipping out something better, even not being a regular sewer).

I forget how much I liked Trinity - I absolutely screamed at " 'I'm not fake, I'm not fake' - but are you real?". And I've always been a Silky fan, although I know she can be grating sometimes.

True, Trinity (and A'Keria) are also more fun to watch and get commentary from than I remembered. (ACD has a 😗👌 confessional look.)

someone whose crown was snatched away in their season

To be clear, I'm not endorsing this POV myself, but it seems like the producers set it up as the plot of AS5, at least once the eventual winner made it past a certain point.

The talent show was interesting. It seemed like Ru wasn't prioritizing uniqueness of talent. Lip sync for a prerecorded single? Poor Jan probably should have landed in the top at least one of those episodes. Another producer-imposed plot to keep her in Jan-tucked until she breaks down? Hope not.
