Aaaaargh it has annoyed me so much that this season is on Paramount Plus...I really don't want to pay for another streaming service, but it sounds like this season had such a great payoff!!

I thought it was a really good season. Challenges are getting a little stale (and wow I really prefer vanilla Snatch Game), but great set of personalities, minimal drama, and definitely no vibe of predestination to make up for not being crowned in a queen's original season (AS2 and AS5).
It's kind of mind-boggling how quickly some queens want to come back.

This season was fun as heck. I think it helps that I took a break for a few seasons and am now detached from the online fandom. It's also a win for the editing--storylines were fairly coherent and I felt both uniquely excited and uncaring about the finale? Meaning: I knew I'd be content with anyone winning but also invested in seeing who'd snatch the crown? Great top four (YAS Southern representation!!) and lovely to see Kylie come out on top.
And can we talk about the Silky Ganache Variety Hour? Pure drag delight. An episode I was ready to write off even before it started and she filled it immediately ("Oh, that's Jiggly") with humor and surprise and joyful absurdity. The later seasons (for me) seem to lack Truly Iconic Moments but she shot up the list alongside the Sugar Daddy Rant and Jujubee's drunk LSFYL and everything Alyssa Edwards. So good!

I would have called it neck-and-neck between Ra'Jah and Kylie going into the lip sync-- much better performances in the final challenge, good runways, great messaging, worthy and needed wins. Eureka (and Ginger to a lesser degree) underwhelmed in a challenge not tailored for them, and for lack of a better way of putting it, just don't need the W, they're not getting the same kind of boost. For Kylie to have come so far since her original season so long ago, completely new facets to her drag abilities... just completely deserved. Ross's bomber jacket analogy was surprisingly apt.
The somersault was the clincher 😗👌
