This show is unrepentantly horny and most of the characters are, I would cheerfully and without intentions of harm argue, whores (with the exception of Haru/Hal, the only character declaimed by other characters as promiscuous). The way the characters think about and interact with each other is so focused on their bodies and their designation as carnivore or herbivore that it would be harder to make them not-whores, so they leaned into it, and god bless. We get a moment where a character asks another character to eat him to power up and it's so indelicately intimate I could hardly stand it. 12/10.

Haru really takes a back seat this season unfortunately - most of the focus is on Legoshi's development as a truly vegetarian carnivore, then Louis's journey as a crime lord, with a dollop of development for Riz the bear. The tighter focus can be a little disappointing, because one of the things I enjoyed so much about s1 was the extended amount of time spent getting into random animals' heads to better understand how the world works. On the other hand, the tighter focus on Tem's murder and its investigation really allows the show's voice to develop into something like noir. This is gloriously disrupted when Legoshi shows up in drag at one point - it's still an anime, and he's still a goofy teenager.
