Each episode tells the story of what happened from the point of view of a different character, with each one proving to be an unreliable narrator - and each with a different genre. This first episode is a romantic comedy, starring Veep's Sam Richardson.

I really enjoyed this. The romantic chemistry (at least as remembered by Aniq) was palpable. The format is really working for me.

Man, it's a delight to have a cast like this working with an idea this fun from Lord and Miller themselves. I'm not sure this show is going to wind up having any weight to it at all, but thus far it's a marvelous trifle.

Not spoiling the episodes that followed this, but the first episode sets up what feels like a comfortable "neutral" tone for the show, which makes the following deviations all the more fun. Man, I'd watch Sam Richardson do just about anything, though. (Or Ike Barinholtz. Or Tiffany Haddish. Or Ben Schwartz. Jeez.)

We watched the first 3 episodes last night, and this show is amazing. Great concept, fantastic cast, can't wait for the next episode. The opening titles are SO clever and well done — I don't think I'm ever going to skip them.

I need to go catch the second and third episodes, but I did enjoy the first one. Romantic comedy, awwww.

Tiffany Haddish is THERE with the popcorn! Though I confess I feel Aniq's concern on "you couldn't solve an escape room but you're a detective?"

Wow, turns out "Lord & Miller combine Knives Out with Rashomon" is extremely made for specifically me

It's worth noting in retrospect, for anyone picking this show up after the fact: yes, the show does actually play fair with the murder mystery, and you really can figure it out if you pay attention.
