Screecher's Reach was very dark! And left a lot of unanswered questions around the Jedi/Padwan and|or Sith/Apprentice structures. I like how Season Two adds layers to "Sith" and makes them more than just the bad guys. Lots of great ideas and themes in this year's episodes.

Thank you for providing motivation to resume my Visions watch!
Of the three mentioned, Screecher's Reach is my favorite. The second I saw the symbol on the girl's necklace, i thought, "Oh no." I knew something bad would come, but how? What form? That I don't know and it was a wonderful mystery. I had read that Cartoon Saloon, being an Irish animation studio, wanted to somehow incorporate something Irish in their short. I have to guess this took the form of a banshee wail...and it was pretty disturbing. Loved it in this context.
In the Stars was cool as the first stop motion Visions short (I don't think there was one last season?), and it worked. There were a few times where it felt a little choppy and I wondered if it was because they wanted to save the labor intensive stuff for the more dramatic/action scenes. It was sweet and beautiful.

Possible cleverness: the "shee" in banshee is spelled "sidhe" in Irish, which if you squint at it looks a lot like "sith".

I can't believe that isn't a bit of cleverness. Thank you for pointing that out!

I was very excited when I saw the trailers that Cartoon Saloon would be involved: they did the fabulous Wolfwalkers and Book of Kells, and they just do their own thing.
I was not disappointed: "Screecher's Reach" was fab, although I was too stupid to pick up the fact that the woman at the end was a Sith. In my defense, the setup was plausibly Jedi-ish in several ways as well...
