Just found this yesterday and binged the two episodes that were up. Is it Wednesday yet?
I also think Idris Elba is up to the task of carrying the show. Already very interested in learning more about some of the secondaries, though!

I’m enjoying this even though I’m annoyed they do the thing where people withhold information - both the pilot and Elba say things like “there’s an incident” instead of “there’s a bunch of bad people with guns trying to get into the cockpit”.

We've been watching the series and enjoying it a lot. But I call bullshit on letting someone into the cockpit in that manner. Just absolute bullshit.
I would sincerely hope anyone who is a commercial airline pilot has come to grips with the idea that you do not let someone into the cockpit at any cost. Not even if they execute every single passenger on the plane.
You do not hand over the keys to a guided missile that can be used to kill thousands. I'm especially skeptical that a person who is capable of beating the copilot to overcome them to open the door is incapable of making the right choice here.
We were watching as a family and my spouse was like "I would not want you to open the door" and I feel the same way. I realize it's easy to say that now and the reality is harder, but I feel like they hit a wrong note on that.
There's so many other ways they could've allowed the highjacker into the cockpit that didn't require the pilot failing that test. Make one of the highjackers part of the air crew.
Other than that... very much enjoying it.
