With apologies! Left out the donor who made this possible.

expialidocious was kind enough to support MeFi with a donation. Their request was for six films by, for, and about queer women that came out in the early to mid 90s. I'll be using the tag #Queer90sWomen

Donate $25 or more to MeFi and you can MeMail me a request for a themed day of your own. I'll fill up the sidebar on FF with six movies that fit your theme.

I remember finding this very light and delightful back in the day. I hope it didn't age poorly.

This review on Letetrboxd pretty well encapsulates how I would tend to think of this:
It's almost like seeing someone's wishful thinking, like watching a fantasy of something purer and simpler, from a more naïve time. But it wasn't a more naïve time; it was amidst a wave of hate crimes, the ongoing HIV/AIDS epidemic, and DOMA. Knowing this came from that context makes it seem defiant. It's not "this is the way the world is" so much as "this is what could be" but with a touch of "if you dare."

"Our mom's a lesbian!"
"Is... Dad a lesbian, too?"
